If it is a corn starch based baby powder, it could explode. A talcum powder would not. But even with corn starch ignition on hot feet would be unlikely: the powder must be well dispersed in the air for an explosion to occur.

It looks like he got all the right places. No one likes sweaty feet or sweaty underwear. I think he's wise beyond his years!
LoL, Lady! I didn't even notice his careful placement of powder.
Speaking of wise beyond his years, I should also add that he cleaned up the carpet all by himself (with a washcloth I moistened at his request).
Wow, he sure is wise! Jessie at his age, Just put the powder all over the room. No wet washcloth would cut it that time. Only the vacuum could help.
