Parts of speech

Sam's vocabulary has really exploded in the last few weeks. He knows most of his letters, numbers, colors, and all the verbs that keep his busy little self in motion. He knows the parts of the body and lots of prepositions. Perhaps most amazing is his use of adjectives. He can be quite descriptive--and not always in ways I expect. For example, yesterday I while changing a poopy diaper, I exclaimed "Woah! That's a big one!"

As if in agreement, he replied, "Big penis."

This is hilarious and makes me think of two things - first, it's good for kids to have some healthy self-esteem. Second, remember that story our history teacher (Mrs. A) told about her son Joel, about when Joel was potty-training and started talking about his penis in the middle of the store! She was mortified.

Boss, that kid of yours sure is funny! Plus, Mrs. A never shared that story about Joel with our class. :)

This is so funny! Now the question is, did you dissolve into laughter right there, or later when you told Coach about it?

LOL! This is just the beginning! The other day Dominic was a bit 'happy' and came out of the bathroom distraught and in tears telling me his penis was broken.
